Person of Interest: Justin Champaign

It was a blast gaining insight into Justin Champaign, Founder/Principal of Most Modest this quarter.

Justin believes intelligent products should offer a deeper level of engagement and connection with the user, the object and their environment. As an industrial designer with a BFA in Furniture Design from California College of the arts, Justin has been a design leader in organizations such as Pablo Designs, Coalesse and Metro Furniture. In 2012, Justin established Most Modest to design and develop products that better support our lifestyles and the unique intersection between craft and technology.

Here are Justin's answers to our series of questions from the Pivot Questionnaire (better known as the questions from the end of Inside the Actors Studio):

What is your favorite word?

What is your least favorite word?

What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
The mountains.

What turns you off?

What is your favorite curse word?

What sound or noise do you love?

Wind through the trees.

What sound or noise do you hate?

A dull bit running on a CNC machine.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

What profession would you not like to do?

If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

Would you like to join me at the campfire for some Mezcal?

We love bringing beauty to everyday things.
